This extension rod is designed to replace the smaller rod included with the ceiling fan. The longer length will increase the ceiling to blade distance, perfect for higher ceilings.

Please Note: Extension rods are used to lower fans installed on higher than average ceilings. Whilst there is no literal definition as to the exact height a fan should sit, the principle is the lower the fan the more you will benefit from its air movement.
