The module can be plugged into the fan’s receiver by an electrician, which would allow for SMART control via the Tuya app. Voice control is also an option through Google Nest and Alexa. You are able to automatically turn on/off your Aeratron fan based on time, room temperature and fan location. The module is not compatible with Apple Homekit.

Philip (verified owner) –
The fan is good. Was replacing a previous Aeratron fan, the AE3.
Still quiet, but a few ‘downgrades’.
The beep is obnoxiously louder… To the point that I’d prefer not to turn the fan on when partner is asleep. Not sure why we need to hear it beep from 40m away when it’s directly above the bed. Tone it down, or give me an option to turn it off.
When it starts to move – it wiggles and takes its time before moving, not something the AE3 ever seemed to do. But seen it in other DC fans. Also, turning off – has a weird jerk to it as well. Just rough.
The margin between the motor shroud and the roof – is barely millimeters, so a rough textured roof will require spacers under the fixing bracket.
Not sure why the timer option caps at 8 hours, 10 would be better for a longer ‘night’.
Wood texture is good, doesn’t seem out of place from my pine roof.
Either way – much better than the Skyfan DC – which disappoints me in many other ways…
