That’s why we created the Ceiling Fan Awards — a curated guide highlighting the best fans for the most common needs and popular styles. These pages are designed to give you a clear starting point and help you quickly discover the perfect fan for your home.

We try to make choosing a fan as easy as possible for our customers, but there are so many to choose from. Each month our sales staff receive hundreds of enquiries from people who want to know which ceiling fan is the best.

It’s a really hard question to answer, because everyone needs something different. There are ceiling fans that suit different sized rooms, different budgets and styles. In a race for the best overall fan, a small fan might miss out because it has slightly lower than average airflow – even though that’s exactly what you might want from a smaller fan. So instead of telling you which ceiling fan is “best”, we want to help you find the best fan for you.

How do we pick our recommended fans?

Before we add a new fan, we examine all the available specifications and assess its suitability for a range of applications. When a fan stands out from the other fans in its category, we shortlist it for inclusion on this page. We stock over 800 fans from 17 major brands, so a new fan really has to impress us to claim a top 5 or top 10 spot.

Our team of expert Ceiling Fan staff recognise quality when they see it. We’ve spent years building our product knowledge and can choose a fan for almost any application. When it comes time to choose our recommendations, the whole team is involved. The recommendations below are just one of the ways we share our experience with you.
