Installation

The kit is designed for DIY installation, with the fan able to plug into an existing power point in the roof space, typically connected to a wall switch in the room. This setup is commonly found in bathrooms, toilets, and similar areas. Alternatively, an electrician can install the power connection separately from the system installation if required.

How we calculate the required air volume

For effective ventilation, it’s recommended to achieve around 15 air changes per hour in areas such as bathrooms, toilets, and laundries. To calculate the required fan capacity, determine the room’s volume (length × width × height, in metres) and multiply it by 15. This will provide a suitable airflow rate for most applications. For spaces with higher moisture levels, such as those with large glass areas, longer or hotter showers, or where minimal steam and moisture are preferred, it’s advisable to select a fan with at least double the recommended capacity.
