This inline fan by Fanco comes complete with everything you need for installation, which is usually placed in the roof space, a vent for the ceiling of the room, a low-profile roof vent and a flexible duct to join it all together. It also includes a back draft shutter to stop warm air escaping or cold air coming into the house.

Installation
The kit is designed for DIY installation, allowing the fan to be plugged into an existing power point in the roof space, typically connected to a switch within the room. This setup is commonly found in bathrooms, toilets, and similar areas, though an electrician can also install the power connection separately if needed.
How we calculate the required air volume
For good ventilation, it is recommended to achieve 15 air changes per hour in bathrooms, toilets, laundries, or similar spaces. To determine this, calculate the room’s air volume (length × width × height in metres) and multiply the result by 15 to find the required fan capacity. This will be sufficient for most applications. We recommend that those clients who have a lot of glass or have warmer, longer showers or simply prefer a minimum of steam/moisture get a fan with double or more the recommended capacity.
