1. What does the Fanco SMART Wi-Fi Module do?
The SMART Wi-Fi Module lets you control your compatible Fanco ceiling fan from your smartphone. Once connected to your home Wi-Fi network, you can adjust settings and operate your fan from anywhere using the Tuya app.
2. What smart features are available?
Basic commands such as:

- Change fan speed
- Control the light
- Adjust light brightness and colour temperature (where supported)
- Change fan rotation direction (for Winter/Summer use)

- Allows you to control a single fan or create a group with multiple fans to run in sync with each other
- Schedule the fan to turn ON/OFF based on your routine. A great feature for parents if they have a fan with a light in the kid’s room scheduled to dim down at a certain time
- Allows you to set a rule that turns the fans on automatically when the weather gets too warm for your liking.
- Allows you to automatically switch off any connected devices when you leave your home.

3. Which app do I use to control my fan?
Compatible fans can be controlled using the Tuya app, available free for both iOS and Android devices.
4. Which ceiling fans is this SMART Wi-Fi module compatible with?

5. Can I add this SMART Wi-Fi module to my existing ceiling fan?
The SMART Wi-Fi Module is only compatible with selected Fanco ceiling fan models. If you already own a compatible fan, you can add the module to enable smart control. As the module is installed within the fan’s receiver inside the canopy, installation must be carried out by a licensed electrician. Please check the compatibility information on this page or contact our team before purchasing to ensure it is suitable for your fan.
6. Can I install the SMART module myself?
The module is installed within the ceiling fan assembly. Whether you’re purchasing a new fan or adding it to an existing fan, installation should be carried out by a licensed electrician.
7. Can the Tuya app work in tandem with the remote?
Yes. Installing the SMART Wi-Fi Module does not replace your existing remote control. You can continue using the remote while also controlling your fan through the app.
8. Does the fan still work if the internet or Wifi goes down?
Yes. Your compatible Fanco ceiling fan can still be operated using the supplied remote control, which functions independently of the SMART Wi-Fi Module. While app control will be unavailable until your connection is restored, all remote control functions will continue to operate as normal.
9. Can I control my fan when I’m away from home?
Yes. As long as your SMART module is connected to your home Wi-Fi network and your smartphone has an internet connection, you can control your compatible fan from virtually anywhere.
10. Does the SMART Module require Wi-Fi, and is it compatible with all home networks?
Yes, the SMART Wi-Fi Module requires a Wi-Fi connection for setup, app control, and smart home features. It is compatible with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks only and does not support 5GHz-only networks. If your router broadcasts both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, simply connect the module to the 2.4GHz network during setup.
11. How many SMART Wi-Fi Modules do I need?
Each compatible Fanco ceiling fan requires one SMART Wi-Fi Module. If you have multiple compatible fans, you will need a separate module for each fan to enable smart control features.
12. Does the SMART module require a hub?
No. The module connects directly to your home’s Wi-Fi network, so no additional hub or bridge is required.
